Christians have experienced persecution throughout the centuries and still do today. Jesus calls us to take up our cross and follow Him, and that may mean suffering or dying for the sake of the Gospel.

Persecution of the church is something most of us in the USA are not truly aware of. Jesus in the Beatitudes said "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." even though we are not facing the same things our brothers and sisters are in other countries, we need to keep them in prayer. Yet we face persecution here in the US in different and subtle ways. Remember, we war against principalities and powers when we face opportunities to witness, temptations of greed or lust, political issues of abortion and stem cell research and many others. This video is a constant reminder of this.
