As Christians we look forward to the time when Jesus will return to earth, gather us up, and take us to heaven. The Bible is full of prophecies that talk about the "end times" and the "last days". These prophecies talk about what will happen in the time but don't give us a specific hour.

I was disturbed a bit by this video because it is very clear in all of the New Testament concerning the endtime coming of Christ that no one is to say He is delaying His coming. That was true for the 1st century church which thought He was coming in their time as well as ours. It is true that many times the return of Christ becomes all about signs and times instead of anticipation of His coming, however the Bible does say there will be signs that will spur us to lift up our heads for the redemption that draws near. God has always given signs before He judges in wrath and it is dangerous to lessen the reality of these signs whether they be to warn a person to get closer to Christ or in hindsight show that God loved them enough to warn them to fllee the wrath to come. The talk about the signs is not the problem, the apathy of the slumbering believer is the problem. As in Noah's day, the years of testimony from Noah failed to adequately pierce the heart of earth's citizens.
