After reading most of the reviews I've come the conclusion that you either love it or hate it. It seems that the bad reviews are coming from those that can relate to the man in the suit because maybe do wear suit and ties, read books, have bumper stickers, and it hits home. They're offended by how someone maybe similar to themselves is being portrayed. I have to say that I can relate to the man in the suit as well. I wasn't so much offended as I was enlightened. I feel the message here is that there is nothing wrong with a wearing a suit or reading books or wearing bumper stickers proclaiming your a christian as long as that's not the extent of our spiritual life. I think the casually dressed man makes that point very well. I think the best portrayal of a christian would be a combination of the characters as a whole. There are severals bible verses that come to mind when seeing this commercial. I pray that those who are offended keep an open verse-minded approach to the msg.

Some of the skits are amusing. I am concerned over the prevailing idea that there is something wrong with being sold out to Jesus (that not to say that the guy in the suit is an accurate portrayal of someone on fire). It’s easy to call your self a follower of Christ and then live very causally, believing that someone will one day figure out that you love Jesus (I think are human nature fools us in most cases). No, I think these videos subtly attack some of the values of those that are in the world yet truly not of it.

Not too sure I like the sarcasm of the Christ follower in trapping the Christian. Joining in sarcasm or even prepetuating it to make yourself look better is not healthy. However, I believe the intent of the video was to show that a stack of books, knowledge and bumperstickers do not make you alive in Christ. Being normal and resting in your relationship with Christ is more lasting than books and bumperstickers. However, on the flip side of that, different methods (t-shirts, etc.) for keeping people focused can be a useful tool. Not everyone relates to God in the same way. But John 14:6 is the key. As long as Jesus is the link to Heaven and not the stuff, then we are OK. Video would need a tight clarification if used in a sermon.
